A Bit About Neve Fontaine
Neve Fontaine was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. She spent much time roaming and exploring throughout the past two decades, and has been back in the UK since Covid and Brexit – reluctantly.
A Dangling Fish was her official debut novel, published in 2015, and Girl Town in 2023. Some are in the works, and others remain unpublished – watch this space. Neve has been writing stories since childhood, and remains infinitely curious about our world, her first word(s) spoken as a child asked: tisit? (what is it?).
Neve’s background in tourism and hospitality helped fuel her travels all over the UK, plus a dozen Greek islands, Spain, and Malta, and the dramas in the trade and on the road inspired A Dangling Fish.
Other journeys have had her walking glaciers, being wiped out on the Gold Coast, and swimming with snakes in Bulgaria. She’s also lived off-grid and totally wild, with a few near-misses and grey hairs telling her to try and live a more normal life. Right. These days she can be found aboard her tiny houseboat project and roaming the wilds of the south east. Check out her blog to find out more.
