I’ve been thinking about how best to start this blog. There’s so much to run through… I’m thinking about the strange and bizarre things which have happened in the last five years or so – all before the pandemic which hijacked our lives. Absolutely crazy.
Who’s Neve Fontaine (I hear you ask), is she famous, what’s she written? Is she a lesbian?
I’m not active on any social media platforms, there’s an old FB page I started… I don’t particularly like or have bought into the narcissistic slant which such platforms have driven many down, (I pause, not wanting to sound like an arsehole) too often fuelling the dark side of human nature. Besides, I thought they’d fizzle out and be replaced by something sensible.
I should for the sake of promoting myself, getting likes and liked or very well-liked and probably very much disliked too. All self-serving BS, if you ask me. Maybe you can help me out if you’re into social media and have time? If you like me. Otherwise, we can connect right here. We can start a revolution and get folks back on track to communicating like real people and not dehumanised robots.
And yes, I am a lesbian. I write women’s fiction novels predominantly for lesbians. I’ve travelled far and wide for more than two decades, and thus far nobody has managed to pin me down. But a few have come close. Others have stalked me. The rest deserve a place in heaven.
I am
I’m a 40-something Yorkshire woman who loves to tell stories inspired by life and the colourful spectrum of people I’ve met, some beautiful souls and some very dark ones. Also, the places I’ve been, things I’ve seen, felt, and (quite) a few lessons learned. Oh, and let’s not forget to find a little humour in it all, for what else is there?
Anyhow, that’s a little bit about me and a starting point for my blog. I’m still adding content and building this site so apologies if anything is out of place, feel free to let me know.
